Safeguarding all our members is central to our club.

If you are struggling or worried about somebody else, you can speak to any committee member, and we will try our best to help you work out the way forward.

If you are worried about the safety of yourself or of any of our members for any reason, please speak to our Safeguarding officer either in person or by emailing safeguarding.climbing.lgbt@gmail.com

Your email will be picked up by the Safeguarding officer. Check the "Committee - who are we?" page to see who that is. The Chairperson has access to this email account, but does not monitor it. The rest of the committee cannot access it.

You can also take your worry straight to the BMC by clicking here and clicking the red "Report an incident" button or sending them an email. They will respond to this by contacting us to find out more about what you have told them, but they will not tell us who said it. You might prefer to do this if you want to make sure we don't know it was you, or if it feels like a bigger issue that you need more support with.

We want you to feel free to report anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or even just a little bit icky, so that we can do something to try to make everyone feel safe, welcome, included and valued.
