The AGM is our annual club meeting to bring together our members and for our members to share their thoughts on the running of the club and future plans.
Thank you to everyone who managed to come along, we know you are all busy so we really appreciate you coming along. For those who couldn't make it and for those that did below is a summery of the evening and access to the slides and talking points from the evening.
Please look and read through what the committee had to say during our AGM.

AGM 2025: Summary
Chair and Secretary report: Mike and Julia gave a report that covered the past year! We had 27 new members this year (some of who are our most dedicated climbers), we ran two trips and many informal trips, engaged really positively with the community via recruitment, we saved Pride night and established social nights at Boulder Exe, and have generally had an all-around good time. Yay!
EDI report: Thomas presented the results of our EDI survey and compared our results to the census demographics in Devon. Our average climber is a 25-34-year-old neurodivergent non-religious bisexual white British man who may or may not be trans, in full-time employment with no caring responsibilities and in an established relationship with at least one person. He had been climbing a few times before he joined us, wanting to find other LGBTQ+ people and has now been climbing for 1-3 years. He has done top-roping and bouldering indoors, he has a slight preference for top-roping but doesn’t really have a favourite climbing style. We want to thank Thomas for all the hard work that went into the EDI role this year!
Treasurer report: Simon prepared our financial report, which the committee will sign as part of the AGM. Money coming in included fees, trip costs, donations, and merch payments. Money out includes BMC fees, trip costs, kit costs. Merch (stickers and patches) are available for purchase today! Thank you to Simon for all the time and hard work that went into this role since the club started!
Trips report: We ran two successful trips this year, with huge thanks to K as our trips lead and everyone who helped. The first was a trip to Portland where we camped, the second was a trip to Gower in South Wales, where we bunked and camped. Trips this year cost about £40, plus travel and food. If you’d like to organise a trip next year, speak to the committee. Shout out to K, who did a 10/10 job as trips and kit lead, and is now taking a break!
Voting for the new committee: We have to vote for the committee every year. This year, the committee will be: Mike as Chair; Julia as Secretary; Jack and Morwen share the new members role; Char as EDI lead; and Frey will run social media. Congratulations to new committee members, and welcome back to returning members. Thank you to all committee who are now stepping back
